To use a reversible plough to plough a given amount of land not less than 8 inches deep.  Reversible Butts.

CLASS 2

WORLD STYLE

Using a conventional plough.

CLASS 3

THE PG BLAKE CUP

Classic tractor and plough (1960-1976).  To use reversible plough of between 2 and 3 furrows to plough for a maximum of 2 hours a given amount of land not less than 7 inches deep.

CLASS 4

The Presidents Cup formerly The F Sutton Cup: – Commercial

To include The R J Lampard Cup for YFC under 27 years of age

To use a reversible plough to plough for a maximum of 2 hours a given amount of land not less than 8 inches deep.

CLASS 5

AN ASSOCIATION CUP: – Open Class – Classic

To use a tractor manufactured after 1st January 1960-1976 with a conventional plough to plough a given amount of land not less than 7 inches deep.

CLASS 6

To use a vintage tractor and trailed plough, model to have been in production before 31st December 1959, to plough a given amount of land to a depth of 6 inches.

CLASS 7

To use a vintage tractor and a mounted plough, model to have been in production before 31st December 1959, to plough a given amount of land to a depth of 6 inches.

CLASS 8

To use a Ferguson T20 with a Ferguson standard plough to plough a given amount of land to a depth of 6 inches.

CLASS 9

To use a horticultural tractor and plough.

For the best kept tractor that the judge would most like to take home with him.

Please make sure that the registration number is filled in on your entry form.  All tractors to be lined up after the match, unlocked at a designated place.

CLASS 12

THE MRS M NORBURY CUP

For the best maintained vintage tractor and plough on the day of the competition.  To be judged while working.

MECHANICAL HEDGETRIMMING

CLASS 14

Open for THE M NORBURY CUP

To trim up to 100 yards of hedge and clean up (no hand work allowed on the hedge) in the style required by the land owner.  Time allowed 90 minutes.

MECHANICAL DITCHING

CLASS 15

THE T HODGETTS CUP

To side and clean out with a flat bottom a length of ditch (1 chain) – top width 6 feet, bottom width 16 inches but work to be carried out to stewards instructions.  No hand work to be allowed.  Subject to position of draw and level of ditch.  Time allowed 2 hours.

Awarded to the best novice hedge layer.

To the person who shall cut and lay a given length of hedge in the best manner as a bullock fence in 5 hours.  (Veterans will be required to cut 8 metres.)
